6AM Vinalhaven ~ Sold

This oil painting was done entirely with a palette knife. At 6AM on a summer morning, the sun rises behind the main pier of this island just off the coast of Maine. Despite the early morning activity of fishermen and  dock workers, I was able to capture this scene while all was quiet and the "stuff of the day" had not yet been loaded onto the pier.
