Abenaqui Country Club, 12th Green

When I photographed this turn of the century course on a sunny June afternoon in 2008, I was struck by the pristine condition of the course. It was in superlative condition with not a dry or wet spot to be found on any fairway. Fairways are lined with mature trees that dapple the roughs with shade and direct your eye down the expanse. A number of really blue ponds create interesting and challenging features to various holes while  flower beds show up in unexpected places. It seemed to me that this view of the 12th green looking back to the 5th captured that gracious tone you feel on the course.
