Cherry Tilt Top With Dunes

The dunes featured on this antique tilt top were inspired by a day of plein air painting at Ferry Beach in southern Maine. I could sit at their base on the sand and feel almost totally hidden. The golden orangy color of dune grass always adds a touch of warmth to the beach, even on the darkest and rainiest of days.The antique cherry tilt top is in mint condition and is the perfect accompaniment to a wing back chair or as a unique stand alone. The entire table has received two coats of non-yellowing varnish so it is completely useable....even the painted surface.
