City Sky

This acrylic painting was done rapidly and wet on wet. It is based on my experience of the gorgeous nightly skies in Cape Breton Island when pollution from the coal mines rose up in brilliant oranges, pinks, and reds. And then the bay would catch all the reflections, making the water look almost on fire.
